Intro to Backcountry Skiing

Included: Transportation, skis/split snowboard, climbing skins, telescopic poles, AT boots/snowboard boots, avalanche safety equipment (beacon, shovel, probe), guides
Details: The resorts are opening back up which means long lift lines and chewed-up snow. For folks seeking fresh powder and fun in the backcountry away from the masses, we’re hitting the backcountry. If you are new to BC skiing/ riding, this is a great course to learn the basics, with professional USAFA guides. *Please note: this trip is not for beginner skiers/boarders. To qualify, you should be able to ski everything at a resort consider yourself an intermediate-advanced skier and able to hike uphill carrying 40 lbs. *
*R4R Eligibility: All Active Duty and Reserve members servicing or stationed at BSFB, including their dependents. Retirees, civilians, and foreign military are not eligible for R4R pricing. Single service members (not married) may bring one guest at a discounted rate.
